The young person can attend a local activity centre. There they can, along with the Positif care staff, participate in various activities such as: rock climbing, archery, laser shooting and team building challenges.
They will complete an educational worksheet relevant to the activity before moving on to the practical element.
For example, before archery the young person will have the opportunity to learn the history of archery and its origins. The young person will also gain bronze silver and gold awards in navigation and be able to complete courses in bush craft, hill walking and rock climbing to name but a few.
The instructors have extensive experience working with young people and are able to devise a plan to suit every individual and aim to achieve a learning outcome for every activity. Instructors at the activity centre can also provide workshops in topics such as gun and knife crimes.
In addition to this, on our staff team we have experienced and qualified people who can deliver DoE awards, rugby coaching, white water activities, caving, hill climbing and caving as well as more artistic pursuits such as graffiti art.
